On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the photography exhibition "A Lucanian Photographer of the Late Nineteenth Century" opened in the garden of Palazzo Giampietro di Brienza, an event that transformed the center of Potenza into an open-air museum.

The inauguration was attended by distinguished guests and an enthusiastic audience. The exhibition, which will remain open until the end of September, features 21 large-format reproductions of historic photographs from the Giampietro Archive, offering a unique glimpse into Basilicata in the late nineteenth century.

The exhibition catalog, published by Et Cetera Libri, was also presented during the event, attracting great interest from those in attendance.

Enzo Alliegro and Massimo Bignardi provided valuable insights into the historical and artistic context of the photographs on display.
