Aurora Milillo arrived in Brienza in 1980 and conducted a series of interviews with various interlocutors, collecting biographical information, stories, saints’ legends, prayers, formulas, and magical rituals. Particularly numerous are the love songs and songs of insult, some delivered in spoken form and others performed in song.
The Association obtained access to all the recordings (more than 50 hours of listening) from the Central Institute for Sound and Audiovisual Heritage, to whom we extend our gratitude.
