Ventotene: places, stories, meanings of political confinement
Aligned with the Association's objectives, this training aims to engage young generations with Italian social and political history through active participation.
The training will take place on the island of Ventotene, off the coast between Lazio and Campania, well known for its history as a place of confinement under the Fascist regime, from May 31st to June 2nd.
The training will consist of two "by foot" lessons in the most significant places on the island on the confinement's history and a classroom lesson about Ventotene Manifesto.

To encourage attendance, Brienza1799 is offering 10 scholarships that cover the costs of bed, breakfast, and dinner, as well as travel expenses (boat or hydrofoil to/from Formia). Of these, 5 scholarships are specifically reserved for young people living in Brienza.​​
In addition, three students of the University of Salerno - Politics and Communication Department- will join the training.

The application for admission must be submitted by May 30, 2025. It should include a biographical profile (maximum 500 words) and a cover letter (maximum 2000 words).

The cover letter should include the personal reasons that motivate the application, as well as how the candidate believes that the Training School of Ventotene could enrich him/her personally and culturally. All applications will be reviewed to ensure they have not been drafted with the assistance of AI.

A scientific committee will evaluate the applications. Candidates will be notified of the results within 15 days after the deadline.
