Senza rumore
Brienza 1799 has sponsored the publishing of the book "Senza rumore" (No noise), Et Cetera Libri, a poem collection from Adriano Cozza, a poet of Brienza who died prematurely (edited by Assunta Collazzo, Maria Teresa Cozza and Daniela Cozza, with a preface by Mirella Conenna).
Born in Potenza on August 18, 1963, Adriano obtained a classical high school diploma and then studied Literature and Philosophy at the University of Bari
He enhanced his studies by participating in seminars focused on radio and television journalism, Lucanian popular culture, and historical toponymy. He contributed articles to various newspapers and publishing houses in Puglia and Basilicata. He pursued his interests in glottology, folklore, history, humor, cinema, and theater. He liked to describe himself as a "Sunday writer and an amateur on all other days. A fantasist forever, in any case."
He participated in several literary competitions, where many of his poems received awards, were reported, or published. Among his numerous recognitions, he achieved first place in the Second Poetry Competition Città di Potenza in 1992. He also took 1st place in the "La Pulce Letteraria" competition in 2004 for his unpublished poetry collection titled "Ventagliata o giù di lima 2004-1994." Additionally, he secured 2nd place in the III edition of the Regional Poetry Award "I Dialetti Lucani" (Città di Rionero 2011).
Adriano passed away suddenly in Brienza on September 24, 2020.
